Antique Anglo India carved rosewood coffee table, made in Bombay circa 1855. This table was originally a higher tilt-top table used in a Maharaja's formal parlor to be graced with flower arrangements. Very fine, highly detailed and deeply pierced carved floral and foliate design. The top is supported by a central column above a platform ending in four scroll feet mounted with lions' heads. Excellent condition. Measures 18.5 inches high and 37 inches across.
