Vintage Colonial Williamsburg solid mahogany 6 graduated drawer tall chest. An exact copy of a Chippendale period chest in the museum's collection (circa 1790), reproduced by Kittenger, pattern no. CW103 Buffalo. Measures 40 inches wide, 21.5 inches deep and 46.75 inches tall. Excellent condition, original stamped inside drawer along with paper label. The Kittinger Furniture Company of Buffalo, New York, with manufacturing facilities at 1893 Elmwood Avenue, was selected in 1937 as the exclusive licensee for furniture by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Between 1937 and 1990 more than three hundred antiques were reproduced for Williamsburg by Kittinger. The pieces selected were both English and Colonial, late eighteenth century, from furniture's Golden Age.
