Pair Chinese ceramic lion dogs, aka foo dogs, foo lions, shi, and guardian dogs. Made in Hong Kong circa 1930-50. Ivory white crackle glaze earthenware. Finely detailed teeth, claws, and manes. The female rests her paw on an upturned puppy; the male rests his paw on an embroidered ball. Each measures 38" H x 13" W x 20" L.
