Townshend & Co, Birmingham, England, brass double inkwell circa 1890. The two molded and cut glass inkwells are probably Baccarat. Center stamp compartment. Each of the three lids surmounted by a coiled serpent. Heavily embossed open scrollwork. One glass ink cup missing. Measures 15" x 7.5" x 5.5". The brass casting is first quality.
