RARE Hessian revolutionary war musket,rifle 18th century. This Dutch weapon was captured at Trenton December 26 1776 from the Von Lossberg Regiment of Hessian Grenadiers, it was one of 200. Mostly brown patina with some old repairs. One field replaced ramrod and brass mount. Measures 58 and one quarter inches long. Julia sold a similar musket in Oct 2006 lot 52 for six thousand nine hundred dollars.
