Federal Sheraton Mahogany drapery carved side chair c1900. The craftsmanship in this chair is as good as it gets. The hand carved back with its intersection curves, carved drapery, tapered spade feed are all masterfully done. We did not take to upholstery off the bottom to see if it is signed so it is possible that this chair was made by either Nathan Margolis or Wallace Nutting. This fine side chair measures 37 and one half inches to the top of its back, 17 and three quarter inches to the top of the seat and 17 inches wide at the seat. There is one old repair to a part of the back shield but it done by and expert and is strong and very hard to notice.
