Williamsburg Thomas Chippendale Hanging self. This hanging shelf was made by "Williamsburg" in Williamsburg Virginia. They make the finest reproductions of period American furniture. This hanging self is number CW37 in their 1976 catalog page 113. The description states "This mahogany hanging wall shelf, a typical Thomas Chippendale design, is a reproduction of an old stand of bookshelves. The four shelves and two convenient drawers are united by upright ends of delicate fretwork. Height 39 inches width 36 inches depth 7 inches.The original of this piece is in the Governor's Palace. English c 1760. Hand made from solid mahogany.
