Victorian slag glass table lamp, This is a curved slag glass panel lamp. The base and the shade are either bronze or "white metal" with an applied bronze finish. This lamp was made circa 1900. The glass panels are rather unusual for curving inward like a pagoda, rather than outward like a parasol, but the shades and bases of these lamps were made in many exotic forms. Slag glass is a translucent wavy glass with color striations. It was made in several colors, but the most common is a pale honey amber. Handel, Pittsburgh, Moe Bridges, Jefferson, Chicago, Duffner & Kimberly, Bradley & Hubbard, Wilkenson, Bigelow & Kinnard, Classique, and Pairpoint are just some of the many manufacturers who produced similar lamps
