Victorian solid cherry sheet music cabinet c1887. This "Victorian Music Cabinet" was made in America and is dated under the drawer B H Co 11/22/87 #64. We are not sure who this company was but the craftsmanship is superb. All the carving is hand done not applied. There are serpents on the drawer face and a lovely musical scene carved into the door face. The inside of this piece is just beautiful and in mint condition. The exterior finish is original and also in mint condition. The claw feet are solid brass with wooden ball inserts. This music cabinet measures 49 and one half inches to the top of the brass rail, 14 and three quarter inches deep,21 and one half inches wide and 38 inches to the top surface. This is with out a doubt the best American Victorian music cabinet we have ever handled. The shelves can come out so this stand could be used for many other purposes such as a liquor cabinet, document or magazine holder etc.
