Watercolor signed Annie Prat,Canadian artist c1893. This watercolour depicts a man who appears to be dressed in a regimental uniform complete with medals. This antique watercolor has bright vibrant colors. The hat and the belt both have the number 44 on them. The artist "Annie Prat" was born 1860 died 1960 born in Pradise, Newfoundland the daughter of Mrs and Mrs Samuil Morse Prat. She went to live in Halifax and attended the Morse Street School. She also went to the Art Institute of Chicago and then moved to New York where she continued to paint and write poetry. The image measures eleven inches by 15 inches and the frame measures 18 inches by 22 inches. Condition. quite good with one small area where the old mat must have touched the surface and removed some of the dark gray water color. Visible in the photographs we provided.
