Vintage Maine Woodland Indian Lidded Splint Basket with splint curls, circa 1920. "Eastern Woodland Indians" were tribes that lived east of the Plains Indians and reached from Maryland, to the Great Lakes, and up into Maine. This "Woodland Indian basket" measures approximately 6 and one half inches square on the bottom and stands 9 inches tall, included the lid handle.
