SOLD ITEM 3554 - Dunhill silver and enamel box Greek Attic figures

There are 5 images of this item.

Duhill silver and enamel box. English retailer Alfred Dunhill began selling fine gentle-men's gifts, tobacco products, and accessories around 1910. He opened storefronts in major cities in the US and around the world. The business continues today. This wonderful "Dunhill box" is a tabletop cigarette box, circa 1920. It is quintessential Art Deco design, right down to the colors. The figures on the front of the box are in the style of classical Greek Attic figures. Since Dunhill did no manufacturing, their products were "outsourced" from various fabricators who made things to order for them. This box was made by a silver fabricator in Germany for retail by Dunhill in New York City. Some surface wear.
