SOLD ITEM 3541 - Early American cherry corner cupboard

There are 8 images of this item.
Early American cherry corner cupboard The cabinet is 78" High, 45 1/2 " wide and 25" deep. A lovely antique mid-Atlantic country piece, dating to about 1800. The wood appears to be cherry. In the south, cherry was mainly used by Maryland and North Carolina cabinet makers. The crown molding and inlay are particularly nice features. The inlay is probably holly or maple. The doors have raised panels inside and flat panels on the outside; that was how 18th century country cabinets were made. Later on, people decided that raised panels looked better on the outside.
