Antique Black and Blue overshot coverlet. This American "overshot coverlet" was sold at Christies in New York Tuesday October 6, 1987 lot number 36. This wonderful antique coverlet was part of the estate of Mary Burdick Sherman on of the early collectors of American antiques and accessories. This coverlet is in very good condition made from white cotton and wool worked in a geometric pattern.This piece dates from the early 19th century in America. Measures 99 inches long by 102 inches wide.
