Early American pine paymasters desk. New England, circa 1820. This desk has a single board top with its original red wash; it sits above a later handmade red washed pine base. Simple straight tapered legs. Measures 41 inches high to the top of the backsplash, 38.5 inches high to the center of the slanted writing surface, 22 inches wide and 21 inches deep.
