Simon Tashimoto serigraph (silkscreen) abstract print "Too Blue" number 88-200, signed Tashimoto at lower right. Simon Tashimoto was born in Nagasaka, Japan, in 1946. He graduated from Tokyo University in 1967 with a degree in Fine Arts. He later entered the school of Nomeguchi, a noted serigraph artist and teacher, where he moved away from the classical Japanese art he was taught at university to concentrate on abstract techniques. He moved to New York City in the early 1970's and has exhibited his art at various galleries both in New York and elsewhere. Sight image 5.5" square; frame 8.25" square.
